Payments to employer schemes that are deducted before tax is calculated
If your pension contribution is deducted before tax is calculated on your pay, you are receiving the tax relief there and then at your highest rate of tax. You do not need to put any details of these contributions on your self assessment tax return, as the correct amount of tax relief will have been given on your contribution via your payroll.
