Who we are

Taxfiler was founded in 2012 to bring the power and scalability of the cloud to the tax and accounting software market. In 2018 Taxfiler became part of the IRIS Software Group, the largest privately held software company in the UK. In 2022, Taxfiler functionality was incorporated into IRIS Elements and developed into IRIS Elements Tax & Accounts.

IRIS Elements is the first cloud-based, end-to-end software suite for accountancy market. It’s a platform that enables accountants and bookkeepers to drive a practice from one client list and integrate directly with Proposal Management, AML and Practice Management.

For existing Taxfiler clients, there is no change in terms of price, service delivery or support. From June 2022, Taxfiler will stop being sold and new customers will be encouraged to purchase IRIS Elements Tax & Accounts.

Our team is hugely experienced and before starting Taxfiler we had been creating market-leading tax and accounting products for over 25 years. We have spent our careers helping tax software users make the transition through more than two decades of constant change in technology and tax compliance legislation.

We believe that the long-term future of tax and accounting software is going to be focused on the cloud and so we have created a brand new set of tools and technologies to build the next generation of web-based practice solutions.
