Capital paid to settlor
This screen is accessed via the data input tab within the tax return as is used to show capital amounts paid to a settlor. Select the form for each payment to each settlor. There may be a tax charge on the settlor where capital sums are paid to them by the trustees either directly or through a company connected with the settlor and there is available income. Where the settlor is an individual, enter the name(s) of the settlor(s) in the additional text note. This information is used to complete Q15A page 8 on the SA900 return.
- ‘Date’ enter the date the payment was made
- ‘Amount’ enter the amount paid
Details of company (if applicable)
- ‘Name of company’ Enter the name of the company.
- ‘Registered office’ Click on ‘change address’ to select or enter the address. Refer to entering addresses for further information.
