Client/case details

The Client/case details tab shows key information about the client and case. Changes to the information can be made by editing the fields and clicking Save changes.

If you have permission to delete Tax Returns, you can use this page to delete the Tax Return. See Deleting a Tax Return for further information.

Agent reference (Individuals only)

  • Case reference – your case reference for this Tax Return.

Accounting period (Companies only)

  • Start date – the start date of the accounting period.
  • End date – the end date of the accounting period.
  • Case reference – your case reference for this Tax Return.

Client details (Individuals)

  • Client code – the unique client code.
  • Title – client title.
  • Forename(s) – client forename(s).
  • Surname – surname of the client.
  • Gender – select Male or Female from the drop down list.
  • Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) – 10 digit UTR for the client.
  • Date of birth – client’s date of birth.
  • Date of death – client’s date of death where applicable.
  • NI Number – client’s National Insurance number.
  • Scottish or UK taxpayer? – select UK or Scottish from the drop-down list

Client details (Companies)

  • Client code – the unique client code.
  • Name – the company name
  • Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) – 10 digit UTR for the client.
  • Company number – the company registration number.

Client details (Partnerships and Trusts)

  • Name – the company name
  • Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) – 10 digit UTR for the client.

Contact information

  • Home telephone – enter the client’s home telephone number.
  • Work telephone – enter the client’s work telephone number.
  • Mobile – enter the client’s mobile number.
  • Email address – enter the client’s email address.
  • Mailing address – enter the client’s mailing address. Click Change address to select or enter the address. See Entering addresses for more information
