This screen is accessed via the data input tab within the tax return and is used to add the information that appears on the front page of the Tax Return.

Front page details

  • ‘Date of issue’ Enter the date of issue of the tax return. This information only appears on the paper form and is not part of the information that is submitted when filing online.
  • ‘Address’ Click to choose the client address that you wish to appear on the front of the form. Read about entering addresses in Taxfiler.
  • ‘Name and address changed’ For years up to 2015, tick this box to indicate to HMRC that the name or address of the client has changed.

Tax Office

  • Input the name and address of the tax office that you wish to appear on the front of the paper form. This information only appears on the paper form and is not part of the information that is submitted when filing online.
  • To select an office from the pre-defined list of HMRC offices click Select from list.
